Businesses have been preparing for the digitisation for Income Tax Self-Assessment which is an element of the HMRC “Making Tax Digital” policy.
Originally the date for switching to the digital only submission of Income Tax Self-Assessment was April 2024.
Today a notice on the HMRC website stated: “The dates for helping HMRC test and develop Making Tax Digital for Income Tax have been extended to 6 April 2026.”
