The Government announced that there were various grants available to support companies through the current Covid19 problems. Here is an update on how to get the most from these:
1. 12 month business rates holiday for retail, hospitality and leisure businesses in England.
East Suffolk - No action is required - this will be automated.
Ipswich - You will be contacted by the end of March if not email business.rates@ipswich.gov
West Suffolk - Currently being implemented, £3.3 million in business relief for 489 properties.
Mid Suffolk - new bills will be issued.
2. Small business grant funding of £10,000 for all businesses in receipt of small business rate relief or rural rate relief.
East Suffolk - You will be contacted mid-April with details.
Ipswich - no information
West Suffolk - awaiting guidance
Mid Suffolk - awaiting guidance
3. Grant funding of £25,000 for retail, hospitality and leisure businesses with property with a rateable value between £15,000 and £51,000.
East Suffolk - You will be contacted by the end of March.
Ipswich - no information
West Suffolk - awaiting guidance
